How to Enable Location Sharing for Driver Check-In
Last updated: July 13, 2026
If your device or browser previously blocked location access, you'll need to update your permissions before you can complete check-in. Follow the steps for your device below, then return to the check-in page and try again.
Tip: Location sharing depends on three separate settings working together — your device's location services, your browser's location permission, and the specific site's permission. If check-in still fails after following these steps, confirm all three are turned on.
On Your Phone
iPhone (Safari)
Open the Settings app, then scroll down and tap Safari.
Tap Location, and set it to Ask or Allow.
Next, go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services and confirm Location Services is turned on.
Scroll down to Safari Websites, and set it to Ask Next Time or While Using the App.
Return to the check-in page and reload it.
Android (Chrome)
Open Chrome and tap the three dots in the top-right corner, then tap Settings.
Tap Site settings > Location, and make sure the toggle at the top is turned on.
If the check-in site is listed under "Blocked," tap it and change the permission to Allow.
Separately, confirm your phone's location is on: Settings > Location (this menu varies slightly by phone manufacturer).
Return to the check-in page and reload it.
On a Computer
Google Chrome
Click the icon just to the left of the web address (it looks like a small set of sliders/tune icon).
Select Site settings from the dropdown.
Find Location and change it from Block to Allow.
Refresh the page.
Microsoft Edge
Click the icon just to the left of the web address (it may appear as a lock, an "i," or a sliders/tune icon depending on your Edge version).
Select Permissions for this site, then set Location to Allow.
Refresh the page.
Mozilla Firefox
Click the lock icon to the left of the web address.
Clear any existing location block, or set the permission to Allow.
Refresh the page.
Safari (Mac)
Open Safari, then from the menu bar select Safari > Settings.
Click the Websites tab, then select Location in the left-hand list.
Find the check-in site and set it to Allow.
Also confirm Location Services is enabled at the system level: System Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services.
Still Not Working?
Double-check device-level location is on. Even if the site permission says "Allow," location sharing won't work if your phone or computer's location services are switched off entirely.
Try reloading or revisiting the check-in link after changing a permission — most browsers won't prompt again automatically.
Restart the browser if the location prompt doesn't reappear after adjusting settings.
If you've tried the above and check-in still isn't detecting your location, contact dispatch/support for an alternate check-in method.
