Moving Your Installed Conduit App to app.getconduit.ai

Last updated: October 23, 2026

If you installed Conduit to a device's home screen, dock, or taskbar, that app icon points at the old address, getconduit.ai. Conduit is moving to app.getconduit.ai on November 8, 2026 — see Conduit is Moving to app.getconduit.ai for the full picture.

This article covers what to do with installed apps. You can do it any time before the move — the new address is already live and runs the same Conduit.

Do I need to do anything?

It depends on how the app was installed.

  • You installed it yourself (from your own browser, following our install steps): your browser will usually offer to move the app to the new address on its own. Behavior varies by device and browser, though, so if the app stops loading or looks wrong after the move, reinstall it using the steps below.

  • Your IT team installed it for you on a managed device, tablet, or kiosk: it will not move on its own. Your IT team needs to update the policy. Email [email protected] and we will send the steps for your setup.

If you reach Conduit through a browser bookmark rather than an installed app, there is nothing to do. Bookmarks redirect automatically.

How to reinstall

  1. Remove the old Conduit app from your device — uninstall it, or drag the icon off your home screen, dock, or taskbar. Do this first, or you will end up with two Conduit apps and no clear way to tell them apart.

  2. Open https://app.getconduit.ai in your browser and sign in.

  3. Install the app again by following the steps for your browser in Downloading the Conduit App.

  4. Confirm it worked. Open the new icon. It should load Conduit and show your facility.

Your data, users, and settings are untouched. You may need to sign in once after reinstalling.

Check-in tablets and kiosks

Tablets running Driver Check In need one extra step, because the check-in workflow is installed as its own app.

  1. Remove the old Conduit and check-in apps from the tablet.

  2. Open https://app.getconduit.ai in the browser and install the app.

  3. Reopen the browser and open your tablet check-in link.

  4. Install the app again from the check-in page, so the icon opens directly into the check-in workflow.

  5. If the tablet is locked down with MDM, update the allowed address in your MDM profile to app.getconduit.ai as well.

Frequently asked questions

Can I do this before November 8?

Yes, and we recommend it. app.getconduit.ai is already live and is the same Conduit. Reinstalling now means nothing changes for you at cutover.

What happens if I do nothing?

Most devices will prompt you to move the app, or the app will keep working through a redirect. On some devices the installed app will stop loading correctly. If that happens, reinstall using the steps above — nothing is broken on your account.

I now have two Conduit icons. Which one do I keep?

Keep the one you installed from app.getconduit.ai and remove the other. If you cannot tell them apart, remove both and reinstall once from app.getconduit.ai.

Will I lose anything by uninstalling the app?

No. The app is a shortcut to Conduit in your browser, not a separate copy of your data. Appointments, users, and settings all live in your Conduit account.

Our devices are managed by IT. What do they need to change?

Force-installed apps are set by policy and will not move on their own. Email [email protected] and we will send the exact steps for your setup, whether that is the Google Admin console, Intune, Group Policy, or a macOS configuration profile.
